I don't own a fish eye...

I have learnt how to make an image look like it has been taken from a fish eye lens. Who needs a fish eye! Here are the images I did the effects on:_

The trip to Lambeth Firestation

On the way to the Lambeth fire station I went through Westminster.
It was the 2nd time I visit this area in London since September 08.
Here are pictures I took of the Parliament building.

Skating in London

As an architecture student, skateboarding is a beautiful way to interact with architecture. We use space in very different ways. From grinding down the stairs, to a nose manual across a bench. These ways of commuting can really change our perspectives of a city. Also certain features in architecture really strike us (e.g. a slope on the side of a building) and so we perceive the building in a completely different way to an 'ordinary' person.

It really is a beautiful experience going around London. Traveling from Old Street to Southbank can lead you to great places. For example 2 weeks ago a friend and I stumbled across a car show and on display were all the 007 cars. Wasn't as excited as my friend though.

So here are a few B&W film pics I took while Skateboarding with my friend Nikolaos.

WTF!

Well... I have gone to ******* a couple of times to process and print out my films. But one day (more than a month ago) the Canon FTb had a bit of a problem so I took it to *******. After the salesman fixed it up out of nowhere he hands me a Canon AE-1. After looking at it i asked him how much he wants for it...

(Awesome) Salesman: no no. Take it (his hand sweeping the air like                       a broom)

Moi: (confused) yeah I would like one but how much.

Salesman: nothing nothing. Take. This one (pointing at AE-1) better           than this (pointing at FTb)

Moi: for free *thinking is this guy expecting something from ME not      money me?*

Salesman: yes

Moi: (a short pause and the queue becomes restless) erm... wow
thanks alot. Really... are you sure?

Salesman: yes please. it might need a bit of adjusting but it still           works fine.

So after that we went to the backroom and we started... no im kidding. I GOT A CANON AE-1 FOR FREE!!!!

Yeah... so I ended up taking it home and showing it off to all my friends.

Voila... here is a picture of the AE-1's body. I have actually yet to begin using it.

Film is ADDICTIVE!

A really good friend of mine (Khalid) sparked off my addiction to film cameras. He allowed me to use his Canon FTb.

Using film for the first time was interesting. Not being able to view the pictures after they were taken was uncomfortable, but this made me anxious to see them after printing.

Here are a few random pictures from my 1st film.

So this is my first blog AND post... wow.

Well... today Ive been editing some photographs and came up with some nice techniques.

After moving to London I have becomereally interested in photography and intrigued by the different styles.

So to start off the blog here is a picture of 2 friends of mine bonded by string in the wonderfull city of London.
